Darwinex API - credentials

Hi,

I have watched the youtube tutorial and looked for some information but I couldn’t find the answer to my question.
The python algo needs credentials as follow (as per github repo):
username=great_username
password=very_secure_password
client_id=super_secret_client_id_DEMO
client_secret=super_secret_client_secret_DEMO

Could you please clarify what are the last 2 variables:
client_id=super_secret_client_id_DEMO
client_secret=super_secret_client_secret_DEMO

And where to find them?

Is that referring to the the so called “Consumer key” and “consumer secret” respectively?

Thanks

Hi @ThibautBoizumeau,

Please take a look at the post Get the Access Token
The youtube tutorial is outdated, as we not longer allow for the Password Flow, which uses the username, password, client_id (consumer key) and client_secret (consumer secret) in the same request.
The way to use an automated bot is to get the consumer key, consumer secret, initial access token and initial refresh token from the web. And then renewing the access token and refresh token every hour by using the consumer key, consumer secret and refresh token.

Kind regards
