Let me tell you a story about Currensee which was then owned by Oanda before disappearing.
On the main page they were advertising for positive results of the whole portofolio of their 20 or so trade leaders.
For weeks on an ongoing basis, I noted the results carefully and revealed the biggest lie.
Every 2 months or so, 1 to 2 trade leaders were completely crashing their trading account and their followers accordingly (no risk management technics were deployed, unless removing the trader from the program after too much of a disaster happened). They were removed from sight and soon replaced by other traders...
Guess what ? The various performances showed on their front page was working this way for a FACT (I verified it):
- the removed traders were never counted into the return on investment results (1Y, 6months, etc)
- instead, the new traders were counted for their backtest results that were never backed up by real money from investors.
Overall, I relaized that the Currensee real life results were in fact NEGATIVE on an ongoing basis instead of positive like they were fooling people with...
This is what I do call a trick that goes far to mislead the public into something that is not.
I would have many other stories like this to tell, that sometimes need some studying before finding out...
Darwinex, untill proven by A+B is not playing in this league of playing fools and we should be content about it. Even it seems Darwinex was considered when Currensee's limits were admitted because it was providing a very basic and minimalist approach that could be improved. Darwinex has reinvented about everything in a creative way to an extent that cannot be summed up into a few lines.
So yeah, until now, I have nothing to complain about really, because I realize what a chance that Darwinex project is and it takes bravery to lead in a "close to" (if you wish) righteous manner. And yes, I do find it ethical when compared to what existed before. (And I have no doubt about this general opinion to be true ! There are many examples around, for example about DWX's stance on the OTC industry, etc etc. I think you are forgetting how much DWX is disruptive in the trading scene but will find out time after time at a constant pace)
