Metatrader 4 is an old lady, still in 32 bits, etc.
Of course traders are not interested in MT5. But the problem arises in these terms: if for example MetaQuotes announces the end of MT4 for December 31, 2018.
Knowing that a large majority of Darwins use MT4 Expert Advisors , I think Darwinex has no choice but to introduce MT5 and make it clear that we will have to say goodbye to our good old MT4.
For discretionary trading, platforms are not lacking in the market. And the trader can get used to a new platform in a few days.
But if you have an Expert Advisor with 10,000 lines of code, the problem is not the same at all.
And in automatic trading, MetaQuotes is a reference because it offers the tendem client-server, and especially the reliability.
Make reliable platform XYZ for automatic trading via FIX + a homemade API is usually a nightmare that can last for years.
