I will post here a copy of some posts from different thread where we discussed ZVQ ,so readers don't miss that and get better picture of the problem.
1.Tomcat:Other than that,if you are investor, why you focus on losers?Your business is to find winners and merry them.Stable profits are your salary for that successful prospecting.
Darwinex gives absolutely all tools for analysis if you know what to look for.It helps greatly if you ever seriously traded or survived bloodbath at Alpari or copy-trading...
Lets take an example that @CavaliereVerde offered few posts earlier Darwin ZVQ
That is a remarkable equity curve and yearly results.Since this is since 2010 all is well.Apart that it is imported and not native Darwinex and all this curve is calculated backwards using Darwinex algorithms. So first common sense question that comes to mind is What is this fellow doing here in Junior League? There must be some problems under the hood.Luckily Darwinex provides quick access to engine so we don't have to get ourselves dirty. We go to graph showing Max.positive and negative excursion per trade, ignore that unfortunate episode in Feb.2018,that is not crucial now.Focus on the bulk of the history and use the numerical data on the right side of that same page. And we immediately see why this chap is starting at Darwinex after all those beautifully profitable years. He was systematically losing 3 pips for every pip gained and he was systematically cutting his winners so he achieved unusual high win ratio which kept him alive and poor all these years. On top of all that, bulk of all those trades were night trading highly iliquid and unusual EURSEK pair and other pair was AUDNZD,even worse pair.Imagine the divergence you would get if he tried that stunt at Darwinex with 1mil. AuM.
If he showed that to hedge fund superstars like Soros and Tudor, they were top discretionary traders that made fortunes doing exactly the opposite, they would dismiss him in 60 seconds.
I think that is the correct way to quickly sort through army of smart statisticians and lucky survivors,to find those truly gifted traders that I call Artists. Thanks for your time.
From the interview in the Darwinex Spanish podcast from past Thursday, the traders behind ZVQ1 told they come from institutional level trading funds. They wanted to offer their trading expertise to the retail investors and Darwinex was the right platform.
3.Tomcat:@Aimak,are you a trader?Did you read the rest of my analysis?
I am here some two weeks gathering data and I have found some 3-4 good traders from Alpari PAMM service who were badly neglected over there getting only 20-40k AuM because they were responsible and conservative traders, while suicidal clowns were geting 500-1000k or even 5mil, if you believe or not. But,and this is the problem,I also noticed really bad characters who have found their way here and are doing their work.Their favorite tool was usually martingale, but that is no more usable here, partly thanks to Darvinex risk management, partly because seriously reduced leverage. But they have other tools in their box and just few days back I noticed one Darwin where these crooks are impersonating some western guys and hastily changed their strategy after new ESMA rules about leverage and switched to night scalping which is one of their favorite tools lately, just to milk unsuspecting investors longer. But Senor Colon found really good tool to neutralize short term scammers-commissions are paid only on high water mark Quarterly basis, not monthly like Alpari. There are tons of other stuff and I could write all month. Some more:people are pretending they are serious group of traders and analysts, while truth is there is one guy or girl operating from his living room somewhere in the middle of nowhere in Ukraine.Or fellow completely fabricates his trade journal or produces fine equity curve with unsustainable trading techniques and attracts sufficient amount of investors and then goes for a kill with high leverage ,knowing that he will not be able to retain investors long-term because he is not really a trader. But that is very difficult to do with risk management in place...
Now I read again your question and it got my blood boiling:I was too gentle in my analysis posted earlier. They say they come from institutional level trading funds and they had that funny thing in Feb. 2018???Sweet Jeeesus! We have some serious competition here between Ukrainians and Spaniards.God help us all!
